AI Video Generation Review

Introduction

I created a video for my uncle and family for Thanksgiving. I was getting a little tired of the Ken Burns effect and really wanted some video. I decided to put some Ai tools to the test. I went through my daily AI newsletter, Neuron newsletters and decided to give hailuoai.video a try. The actual name of the company is Hailuo but they tacked on ai and video making the URL impossible to remember. They need some marketing help. Anyway, let’s dive into the experience.

I uploaded an photo of my grandparents from my uncle’s wedding 50 years ago and crafted a prompt that was pretty simple, “Mom and Dad at their son Tom’s wedding getting pictures taken.” The results are below.

Overall this wasn’t a bad video. It’s only 5 seconds and the wipe of the woman’s hair really helps hide some of the distortion to her face. I wanted to see what kind of results I could get with a different solution. Kling AI has been getting some att ention lately so I decided to use teh same image with the same prompt to see how the results varied across models.
